Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic condition most commonly caused by occlusion of follicles in areas where skin rubs together. This leads to formation of swollen, red, draining, and painful cysts. This patient suffered from extensive hidradenitis of her groins, pubic area, and labia. Her symptoms were not improved with medication. She was constantly suffering from drainage with odor. She underwent surgery including excision (cut out) and skin grafts. She is significantly satisfied with her results.
